Access to a health care professional
The Department of Health has announced that it would like at least 60% of patients who request it to be able to see a Health Care Professional (either a GP or a nurse) within 24 hours of a request being made for such an appointment.
This practice has agreed with Suffolk Coastal Primary Care Trust to try to offer this service whenever possible. No guarantee of an appointment with a specific nurse or GP can be given, but the practice will make every effort to provide you with an appropriate consultation with a Health Care Professional.
Ideally such requests should be made where patients feel that they have an urgent need to be seen rapidly.
If you feel that you have not been offered an opportunity to see a Health Care Professional at this surgery within 24 hours of your request, please notify Patsy Illingworth, who is our Practice Manager.
